JP Green School: Open House and Foraging Walk

Sunday, June 12 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

JP Green School is a new learning center for the study of sustainability, urban gardening and green building. We’re based at JP Green House–an urban homestead that’s energy positive (it makes more energy than it uses). We host events for all ages, and camps for kids and youth. Learn more at jpgreenschool.org.

Open House, Sunday June 12, 3-6pm: We’ll be talking about the concept and plans for JP Green School, giving tours of our energy-positive house (JP Green House), and taking a Foraging Walk in the neighborhood with expert urban forager David Craft. Plus, fresh lemonade and snacks. This event is free and good for all ages. RSVP to jpgreenschool@gmail.org or on Facebook.

June Summer Camp, June 20-24, 9am-3pm every day: Designed for kids ages 8-12 to learn urban farming and green building, while integrating art, games and free time. We’ll be working on the site of JP Green House (Bourne St, Jamaica Plain), but also taking field trips to farms and businesses to learn about the culture of urban agriculture. Contact us at jpgreenschool@gmail.com to enroll or learn more.
