Time Exchange Potluck and Welcome Session
Wednesday, November 18 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm| Free
Do you have a home improvement project hanging over your head? Do you need a babysitter? Do you enjoy cooking or gardening? Are you short on cash but not on time? Want to share your skills and help build an alternative economy while connecting with your neighbors?
If so, you’re in luck! You can join JP’s new Time Exchange! Membership is open to all – you don’t need to live in JP.
Joining the Time Exchange allows you to share your skills and provide services for your neighbors such as such as cooking, sewing, carpentry, pet care, health care, and much more. For each hour of service you provide, you are credited one “TimeHour” in your online account. You can trade your TimeHour for services you need or want that other members are offering- like childcare or reiki.
Join us at JP NET’s Offices on November 18 at 6:30pm to learn more and sign up. You’ll see how the Time Exchange works, brainstorm your own skills and needs, find out what others are offering, and learn how to use the software platform that powers the Exchange (called hOurworld).
The Time Exchange is a great way to meet neighbors and help build an alternative economy that serves people and the planet over profit. Hope you’ll join us on November 18th to learn more. Bring a dish to share if you can, but come either way.
